Computer sessions are limited to a maximum of 90 minutes. Multiple sessions are allowed, but the total daily time cannot exceed 90 minutes. All computers will turn off fifteen minutes prior to closing.

How many computers are available for use?

Can I extend my time if I haven’t finished my work?
Given the high demand for public internet computer access, the Bristol Public Library does not actively grant extended time on the public computers. Time extensions may be granted, at the discretion of the Senior Librarian, for certain activities such as bonafide research purposes, exam proctoring, applications, etc. Time extensions cannot be granted once login session has ended. If a time extension is needed, please ask before your current login expires.

Is there a charge for printing?
Yes. Black & White prints are 20 cents per page, color prints are 50 cents per page. Printing is available from the print release station using your library barcode or guest pass.

May I access my jump drive (USB), CD, or DVD?
You may use USB flash drives, CDs, or DVDs on all computers. Floppy drive access is not available. Staff are available to assist you in saving your work for later. To protect your privacy, all material not saved prior to the end of a session will be erased.

No. If you need access to a website that the Internet Filter is blocking, please inform the Reference Department staff or send an e-mail to reference@bristol-library.org listing the exact website you need access to.
